Design of Experiments: A Practitioner’s Perspective
Tuesday, Oct. 14 | Greenwood Village, CO
The more complex the process, the more cost and time an organization can save by improving the quality of that process. JMP® data visualization software is the leader in design of experiments (DOE) involving huge numbers of variables, numerous relationships among those variables and many domains or departments.
DOE uses statistical software to determine – before changes are made – which process changes are most likely to yield the greatest gains. Unlike one-factor-at-a-time experimentation, DOE accounts for possible interactions of the inputs, bias error and random error.
- Want to avoid costly changes that might not solve the problem?
- Need to identify the variables most likely to be important?
- Want to ascertain the effect of changing a particular variable in a specific way?
- Stumped about the combination of variables that cause the process to break down?
- Need software to help in the ANALYZE and IMPROVE phases of Six Sigma?
This seminar covers basic principles and benefits of DOE, how to use the dynamic, visual tools in JMP to design experiments, and best practices for using JMP’s power and interactive graphics to demonstrate the effectiveness of DOE to others in the organization. A case study is included.
