Taking Process Improvements to New Heights Using Engineering Analytics
Monday, November 10, 2008 | Rockville, MD
Over the past 20 years quality improvement programs, including Six Sigma, have laid a foundation for the use and deployment of statistical methods to transform data into actionable information. More recently, exciting new developments in statistical techniques and software are creating a new class of “engineering analytics” that enable process improvements that were not possible even a few years ago.
In this seminar, José Ramírez will discuss developments in engineering analytics and also run two hands-on workshops using JMP. In the workshops, he will show how to:
- Determine the shelf life of a product using nonlinear models
- Evaluate and improve process windows by simulating defect rates
At the end of the program, SAS will unveil some of the new capabilities of JMP® 8, which will be released for Windows users in mid-November.
