Statistical FAQs

When I run my model through the Fit Model platform, I get "LostDFs" notes in the Effect Test, and "Biased" and "Zeroed" parameter estimates. What is causing these messages?

These notes usually indicate that there are one or more linear dependencies in the design. That is, a linear combination of one or more factors can exactly duplicate another factor's values. Check the Singularity Details output to determine which factors are involved in the linear dependencies, and proceed in adjusting the model to eliminate the dependencies.
